The last day of the 2024 NFL Draft Combine is today, where Offensive Lineman will work out for NFL Scouts in Indianapolis. Day 3 was huge, including broken records, standout performances, and some big draft board moves. So here is the best prospects to watch on day 4 of the combine.
Offensive Tackles
Joe Alt | OT | Notre Dame
Alt is all but confirmed to be the first Offensive Lineman off the board, and surprisingly, it’s not because of his athleticism. He is a perfect OL prospect, as he is great all round, he doesn’t really have any flaws in his game. He’s good in both the pass and run game, very intelligent and a good combine could see him go as high as 5th Overall.
Olumuyiwa Fashanu | OT | PSU
Fashanu is the best pass blocker in the draft, hands down. He is the perfect blindside blocker. His major flaw is being merely average in the run game, although he has been steadily improving. Standing at 6’6 and 319lbs, he should test well at the combine, and keep his draft stock steady in the Top 10.
Amarius Mims | OT | Georgia
Mims will be the most interesting prospect to watch today, as he’s already being mocked in the Top 20 even after playing a mere 803 snaps at Georgia. But when you watch the tape, and look at how he plays, he is an absolute menace. He’s a colossal 6’7 and 340lbs, and is surprisingly shifty for his size. A good combine showing could propel Mims to as high as the Top 10.
JC Latham | OT | Alabama
Standing at a monster 6’6 and weighing 360lbs, JC Latham is the perfect guy to anchor an O-Line. One of his weaknesses is his movement, which is why the combine will be important for him to prove whether he is a Top 20 talent, which is where he’s being mocked.
Jordan Morgan | OT | Arizona
He’s not exactly a standout OT when it comes to athleticism, but Morgan is intelligent and is a great pass blocker. He’s a bit small and not the strongest prospect, which may scare scouts away. But a strong combine showing could have Morgan sneak into the first round.
Kingsley Suamataia | OT | BYU
Athletic freak with the perfect combination of both size and movement. He’s a very raw prospect, who can get in trouble with his hand usage and picking up blitzes, but the pure athleticism may be enough to push him into a Top 40 pick. Kingsley will absolutely light up the athletic drills at the combine.]
Interior Offensive Line
Jackson Powers-Johnson | C | Oregon
JPJ could be the first IOL selected, and that’s because he is an ideal Center for an NFL offense. He’s the type of guy you select now and you’ll be set at Center for the next 10 years. He’s big, strong, and can anchor an O-Line or slide over to the guard spots and perform there as well. A good combine could see him jump into the Top 20.
Taliese Fuaga | G | Oregon State
Another IOL who is expected to go in the Top 20, Fuaga is a prototypical guard that moved from tackle due to his arm length. He’s got incredible grip strength, good acceleration, and loves to finish his blocks. He should have a great combine and secure a Top 20 spot in the draft.
Graham Barton | G | Duke
Another pure athlete, Barton possesses great speed for a Guard and excels in the run game. He can be a bit reckless, which ends up in him getting walked back or on the ground too often. The 40yd dash and shuttle will be fine, but he’ll want to show off in the bench press drills to improve his draft stock and become a Top 30 pick.
Christian Haynes | G | UConn
Although he may have played the weakest competition of anyone on this list, Haynes is still a prototypical Guard build, and has shown he can neutralize power rushers. He may be a bit of a gamble, but a good combine showing could have NFL teams more eager to take him in the Top 50.
