Day 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft Combine is here, where the best Wide Reciever and Quarterback prospects will work out for NFL Scouts in Indianapolis. Day 2 was for the Cornerbacks and Tight Ends, who we will cover in our Post-Combine article. So here is our favourite prospects to watch on day 3.

Note: Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, Marvin Harrison Jr, and Malik Nabers will not be participating in the workout portion of the Draft Combine.

Wide Reciever:

Rome Odunze | WR | Washington

Odunze is the best overall prospect participating in the combine today, so he is the prospect you must watch. He’s quick, strong, and a good route runner, and is comfortably sitting in the Top 10 of most mock drafts. However, an elite combine could see him overtake Malik Nabers and become the WR2 of the draft.

Xavier Worthy | WR | Texas & Adonai Mitchell | WR | Texas

This one is pretty simple. The 2 Texas receivers may have very different builds and playstyles, but they should both light up the combine. Worthy is a speed demon, who could run a sub 4.30 40yd dash, and Adonai Mitchell should impress scouts with his vertical jump and bench press.

Xavier Legette | WR | South Carolina

Legette is a receiver that i am personally very high on. He has a great combination of both strength and speed, and has the perfect WR build at 6’3 and 227lbs. He can struggle with route running though, and is one of the older prospects at the combine.

Brian Thomas Jr. | WR | LSU

LSU’s WR2 Brian Thomas Jr has a chance to be the 4th WR taken in this draft class. He’s a great athlete and crazy fast for a 6’4 guy with long arms. He’s the perfect deep ball threat, which is why teams like the Bills, Bucs, and Chiefs have been watching him closely. A good 40yd dash and WR drills could see him be taken in the Top 20.

Keon Coleman | WR | FSU

Coleman has been falling down draft boards for a while now, as scouts are worried he won’t have the speed and acceleration to separate from CBs at the NFL level. The combine is his chance to run a sub 4.50 40yd dash and try to change the narrative. He’s 6’4 with a big frame, making him a great jumpball guy if he can get seperation.

Quarterbacks:

JJ McCarthy | QB | Michigan

With QB’s 1-3 sitting out the combine, JJ McCarthy will be center stage, trying to prove to teams such as the Raiders, Broncos and Vikings that they should trade up in the draft to select him. He’s young, an alright athlete, and a good combine showing would do wonders for his draft stock.

Bo Nix | QB | Oregon

The projected QB5 will be looking to cement his place in the first round, and possibly the Top 20, of this draft. He’s not really an athlete, but he’s an accurate passer with a big arm. He’ll be one to watch today.

Spencer Rattler | QB | South Carolina

Rattler won’t be a first round pick, and probably not a second round pick either, but he is still a formidable prospect that at worst, can be a longtime backup in the NFL with the ceiling of a solid starter. He’s quick out of the pocket, and has an effortless release with great accuracy. A good combine could boost him as high as the second round.
