Where do I start with this game?

Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson shot us out of the game. Herro shot 1/5 from three with some awful shot selection in the clutch and Robinson shot 1/7 from three.

However, the Heat still had players with good offensive production. Bam put up 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists with 2 blocks. Highsmith had one of the best games of his career putting up 19 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and shooting 5/7 from three. Jovic had another fantastic outing, and he SHOULD be our starting PF for the rest of the season. He had an efficient 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and block. Jaquez was also fantastic with 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. He shot an efficient 6/9 from the field with 3/5 from deep.

The Heat’s defense was lack luster this game and allowed the Thunder to shoot nearly 60 percent from the field. Shai had a very efficient 28 points and 8 assists leading the Thunder to victory. Williams, Holmgren, Dort, and Joe joined Shai in dropping double digit points. Williams also had an impressive 12 assists and 9 rebounds.

At times our zone defense performed well and helped to make runs, but in the end our offense couldn’t keep up with the production of the Thunder’s. Tonight’s game was an avoidable loss, and we can hopefully bounce back against the Magic on Friday.
